There is no way to reset the ABS. The light indicates a problem and will need to be diagnosed and fixed. Most likely the ABS module failed. It can be rebuilt at modulemaster.com. Check out the price before commiting to the price the dealer will charge.
If your handy you can remove the module and still drive the car while waiting for the 10 day turnaround on the repair.
Most modules fail at around 5 years from new depending on usage.
by the way the switch the book is talking about is a traction control on/off button. No all models have this. When you can shut the traction control off the ABS light will not come on. Just the traction light will come on. If the brake light/abs light/traction control light and in some cases the speedometer does not work then were looking into a diagnostics procedure to get to the cause.

Is it fairly easy to get to the ABS module or would the car need to be jacked?
I haven't had time to go to the dealer to have it replaced but in the meantime it's creating an awfully annoying noise and it's affecting my braking performance - sometimes the car skids a foot or two.
I read that pulling the ABS fuse would also be a temporary solution, can you confirm? If so any idea where I can find this fuse?
Thanks.
