Loose fan belt is slipping on the pulleys. Adjust the alternator away from the engine to take up the slack.

Hi last week a high pitched noise started on my 02 hse. the noise seems to becoming from the rear of the vehicle, it is a continuous noise, I recently had the fuel pump replaced, could this have anything...

When you turn the key to position II, does the noise start then? This would be the fuel pump. If it is making a noticeable noise while driving, then you should get whoever fitted it to check it over. If it failed, your car would stop immediately.

Makes high pitch whistle

Do you have the brakes taken apart once a year,
on all your vehicles, for rust removal, inspection,
needed work & lubing, that is required
Have to flush brake fluid every 2 years, if you
don't want moisture in the system ruining it
Don't know what the noise is,work on the
brakes & then get back to the noise, if it's
still there

A high pitch noise that happens after I have driven for 10-15 minutes and then stops when I hit the brakes. Appears to be coming from rear drivers side of car. I have replaced brake shoes and it stopped...

hi, some things that happen to brakes is that the rotors get worn in the middle causing a lip at the top and the bottom so when you put your foot on the brake pedal the brake pad lays flat on the rotor as normal, but when you release the pedal the brake pad then rides on the two lips causing the squealing noise, the other thing could be, if you haven't done this already that is, copper slip, copper ease, what ever you american's call it lol, put some of this on the back of the pad then put it back in this will normally cure it, and last but not least, when you replaced the original old worn ones, did they have little plates on the back of them? if they did , these are anti squeal plates, so if you neglected to put these on the new ones that will be another cause, but check the rotors, and put some copper slip on them that should do the trick...hope that helps
