Ther is no dipstick to check transmission oil on this vehicle. There is a fill and check plug on the top of the transmission oil pan. fill untill you see oil flowing out while vehicle is running.

Where do I add tranmission fluid

There is a rubber plug that is actually the dip stick. You can check out you fluid level but you have to crawl under the truck and remove the plug and there is your dip stick it is only a couple of inches long. user_offline.gif quote.gif

you are not going to find a dip stick in your trooper you shuold go down to the tranmission pan and look for drain bolt there is the place were you are going to check the tranmission oil first you have to turn on your engine an then shift neutral and take off the drain bolt dont worry the oil is not goin to drip out and you must have an special gage that you have to put there and base on the transmision temperature it will tell you if it need oil or not i hope i you undertend me my english is not to good
