At the end of the dash beside the stearing wheel (the bit that the driver's door covers when its closed) there's a small panel that you can just pull off. You will find fuses in here. (For left hand drive possibly other end of dash I don't know)

I have a 1999 passat v6 door locks dont work and the gas door doesnt work either all fuses good any suggestions

I have a 1998 and the fuel door wouldn`t work either - a temporary solution for this was to take the switch out and connect the 2 wires that go to the release latch to a wire that I could put into the lighter plug.

Now for the possible solution: It sounds like the CCM issue - or rather the wiring issue associated with this model.

Please read the answer I posted for a similar problem here: http://www.fixya.com/cars/t9281547-1998_passat_interior_lighting

Good luck

Hand brake red light flickering abs yellow light on when engine running v passat 1.9 tdi 1999 model estate car

Make sure the e-brake is completely dis-engaged; handle all the way down/pedal all the way up - if pedal; pull release and lift up on the pedal.

If problem with the ABS light continues you'll have to take the car to a qualified mechanic to test the ABS sensors...could have one bad/mis-aligned.

Cigarette lighter in 99 passat v6 not working, but power plug in trunk functional. Do they use the same fuse? If so, what could be wrong with lighter plug?

They run off of different leads. Check fuses first then if nothing check wires then last change cig lighter outlet

Need relay location for 1999 vw passat 2.8 v6

relay 1 engine compartment
fascia 2 relay 18 (if it is diesel) relay 10 (diesel again) and this could likely be the best candidate relay 4 fuel pump relay/glow plug relay

Now for the fuse box locations ... looking from the front of the car... the engine compartment fuse box is on the left side up near the firewall.
fascia two is the lowest of the two fuse panels on the drivers side under the dash to the right of the steering column (left if it was a right hand drive).

This took about 15 minutes to locate all the possible fuses, be that as it may if i missed it don't hesitate to ask me again.

Robert

Please take a moment to rate this solution thanks
