I did not add oil. they came out of another alero with 10k miles on it. the suspension just feels rough. I can hear every little bump. Could it maybe be the wheel bearing hub?

Were the strut assemblies sealed?? If not some require a little oil in before fitting to vehicle. Without this can cause the "clunk".

Could be a worn ball joint / suspension bush.

Klunking sound coming from rear passenger side on the downward bounce after driving over imperfections in the road/bumps; suspension?

Likely,
If you have eliminated the obvious causes such as loose things in the trunk (sorry but I have had similar complains where there was something loose in the trunk)
It may be the strut top on the problem side.

if u look under the car u will see metal rods called strut rods, these have rubber bushings at each end, the rubber bushings are the common source of the noise you have

Sounds like a bad fuel injector. Shop would need to run a contribution test to confirm. I must say, good detective work, good luck.

Kluking sound in suspension when its cold - 5 and less

Sounds like it could be dry u joints. Kinda sounds like a squeaky bed? If it is you will need to get them replaced. Just greasing the old ones won't work.
