You should be having a maintenance or check engine light on the dashboard(if the light still works). Best thing to do is to have a computerised car diagnostic which will reveal some codes. Then based on these code(s) you can figure the cause of this problem.Hope this helps.

Hi! Have you tried checking the rotors and distributor? This may be faulty and needs replacement thats why its misfiring. Try to have it replaced and you'll be good. Hope this helps and have a good one!

2002 toyota camry se what is wrong when has cylinder #1-2 -4 check detected code p0301

this code tells you that you have a miss fire on cylinder #1. it could be a bad plug, bad wire, bad coil, bad injector, vacumn leak a intake runner for this cylinder. you will have to check anything that affects cylinder #1 only.

Getting firing code error for cylinders 1,3 & 5 on my 1999 Sonata

I was wrong about the distributor being round (I was thinking about my other car). I found variations about the firing order but after troubbleshooting, varified the plug wiring order from the front of the car is 1 - 4 - 5 - 2 - 3 - 6 not 1 - 4 - 5 - 2 - 6 - 3 found on several web sites. From the front of the car looking at the engine, the back three cylinders by the firewall going from left to right are 1, 3, 5. The front three are 2, 4 & 6.

My ranger 4.0 liter 92 is missing like its timing is off but i just put new plugs n wires but it only does it on takeoff and then it smells like it overloads on gas if any body might have some advice...

????Did it do this prior to you putting on those parts??? if NO- rechek the plug wires on the coil.....@ the connector side its 1-2-3....the other side is 5-6-4....frt to back...if this is correct then while running pull each plug wire and judge the amount of engine RPM drop per cylinder.(a tach is helpful).. if you have one cylinder with very little change it can be valves/piston/etc problem..... If all seems EVEN...then do the same with the injectors at every cylinder...It can be a bad injector also.....This should give you somesort of idea whats wrong...hope this helps you and thxs for the rating...GL
