When I put the gas peddle to the floor the engine

My buddy's 1998 Ford F250has trouble. When I put the gas peddle to the floor the engine bags out like it's flooded. The filters have been changed, new fuel pump, new oxygen sensor, new throttle body positioning sensor, gutted the catalytic converters, new plugs, wires. Even when your not under power it just bags out when you floor the accelerator.

1998 Ford Escort Se 2000cc SOHC will difficultly start the first time then has to set 30 - 40 minutes before it will start again

Holding the gas pedal to the floor will cause the PCM to put the fuel injection system into clear flood mode , cutting the amout of fuel going into the engine . Pumping or pushing on the gas pedal while cranking the engine over does nothing but allow more air into the engine , it's not giving it more gas . The computer has a set program it follows at start up . It's not like a carburetor ! Fuel pressure regulator .

You may have clogged the carb with muck from the bottom of the tank.try turning the ignition over while some one sprays WD40 through the air filter. pump the gas peddle but not too much that you flood the engine

Trouble starting must hold gas pedal to the floor

holding the gas pedal to the floor while cranking shuts off fuel flow to clear a flooded engine. Check for injectors staying open too long. Is check engine light on? If yes, get codes from free scan at Autozone.

Car won't start

try this, if the car wont start push the pedal all the way to the floor and hold it ther while you crank. It sounds like you are flooding the car some how. Pushing the pedal to the floor puts the car into clear flood mode and it shuts off the fuel flow. try and see just a suggestion
