2007 Cherokee will not start. Lights work, radio plays, battery is good. I think my security system is locking the start sequence.

Problems could be the starter, you could switch the transmission to try to put the transmission in neutral and see if it gives start and also problems with the immobilizer or the starter relay you can remove and make a direct connection and are sure is not the starter. thanks

When i changed ignition on 2001 ford explorer I ended up having to replace steering column now it wont turn over & the anti theft light flashes & wont stop. what can be done to get car started?

At least you know the anti theft system is working. Jokes aside, I would think that the electronic security system is not recognising the new lock and steering column. You could try leaving the battery completely disconnected for at least 2 or 3 hours to see if the system resets. Reconnect the battery and then try again with the new key. You will have to put the security code back into your radio as well. If this doesn't work, it may need to go to a Dealer to reprogram your electronic system.

My 2001 century buick wont start new battery all lights come on no clicking radio plays

A few checks here,,, if the vehicle was otherwise in good working order prior to battery exchange , check that all the "+" cables are connected securely to the battery positibe post. it's unlikely to be the Negative post. Check heavy cable from starter motor is securely connected also. check "nuteral" inhibitor switch on transmission is operational ! Good luck

I have a Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition 2004, 2 things: 1. the ac turns on but the air comes out warm. 2. sometimes when im going to turn it on it doesn't start... radio will work fine, lights turn...

#1 the a/c system may have a freon leak or just might need recharging. #2, if the electricals, all work, but the car's engine won't turn over, I'd look for dirty battery terminals, and/or have the battery, checked, if those check out ok, then, I'd check the starter out.

I drove the Jeep home with no problems. This morning, it won't start -- no power at all, no radio, light, power lock, power window ... nothing works but I keep on hearing a fast "tick, tick, tick" sound...

Your battery is low or has weak cell. I recommend jump starting vehicle. If it jump starts then replace the battery. If
battery warning light is illuminated on dash may have charging
system concern.

Check your alternator output. should be charging 13 volts or better with accessories off, no less than 12.5 and not dropping with all electric options and lights on. Check with meter connected to battery itself. Security system is made not to be disabled or it would not be a security system. Likely someone has figured out how, but you won't find it posted anywhere.

'01 Grand Cherokee Won't Start

Try starting it while you have any lights on; if they go out, then you could have only a failed battery clamp that needs cleaned. We've had fairly frequent problems losing contact at the battery terminals.
The Haynes manual for '93 - '00 does not show a security system that disables anything.

2002 chevy tahoe will not start

it may be the security system but i don't know how to bypass it. most security systems only prevent the original radio from being played if stolen from your car. but wouldn't affect a new radio. you may have to call a local dealer and ask them. the only other thing i can think of is when installing the new radio, you unhooked a wire or cut a wrong wire. good luck
