Nissan Terrano 2(mistral 1998) can not locate where rear window washer pump is located as it is not operational when switch is activated

It does not have a separate pump, it has a valve very near to the main washer pump which is activated electrically. This valve will most likely be crudded up as it gets used the least. Trace the pump lines to this valve, disconnect the output line from the valve leading to the rear, test the system by trying to activate the rear washer, check for water pumping out, if none, blowthe valve out with air, test with 12v and if necessary replace it. Blow out the lines leading to the rear squirter, too just in case the lines are crudded up, check the rear jet for the same reason.
it's a matter of checking one step after the other until you locate the problem....

I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport that I beleive needs the washer fluid pump replaced and am seeking advice on where it is located and how to replace it.

the washer pump is located in the bottom of the washer bottle.if you remove the bottle disconnect the washer hose and electrical plug.most of the pumps you just pull it out of the rubber o ring that seals the pump so the fluid won`t run out and holds the pump in place.

More than likely (and we will hope) it is the oil sending unit. In comparison it is a very cheap and quick fix to replacing the oil pump. Auto Zone has a pretty good componet location section that has tips for replacement if you cant find the sending unit or the oil pump. Try that first it may save you a lot of work.

Rear window washer works, front windshield washer does not.

Yes their are two seperate pumps. The pum is located in the driver wheel well.

Check fuses then check the pumps. Make sure you are getting voltage to both pumps.
