That can be so much fun, remove the headlights, and check for voltage at the sockets, also check the grounds, go back to the left side of the car and find the harness connector and check for voltag there , next step is the headlight switch, from there the dimmer switch, if it has daytime running lights, go to cavalier drl repairs, qhite often its a bad contact or broken wiring inside the insulation, so have a continuity tester on hand

My headlights on my sunfire go off while driving

Right now, I'm thinking the head lamp switch assembly has a problem? See the wire color in the top of head lamp, that is voltage, fuse protected, hot all the time. When problem is ongoing, you could use a test lite, check for voltage at fuse circuit?
The headlamp switch assembly is located on headlamp ground circuit. There could be a wiring problem, somewhere. I can only help with testing.

Ok I have seen tons of posts about this issue with the Pontiac Sunfire, but no clear solution. I have a 2001 Sunfire the yesterday the Day Running Lights quit working. My passenger side head light will...

First check the R/S headlight fuse in the dash fuse panel (left side), second make sure the R/S low beam headlight bulb filament isn't blown, both these scenarios will do what you are saying. The DRL's work when both low beam lights are in series, thus only 6v going to each bulb at reduced brilliance. The high beam is a totally separate circuit controlled by the multifunction switch. The DRL relay is controlled by the Body Control Module, grounded there, and it will also illuminate the service vehicle soon light. It could also be a bad ground at G204. Its on the steering column support bracket.

The horn in my 96 pontiac sunfire isnt working. How would i go abou fixing that?

ok this problem could be in several places. most likely its a blown fuse or more likely a relay.check your owners manual for locations. if its not a fuse or relay then its in the horn itself or possibly in the contacts in the switch. The easy way to find it is unplug the horn have a friend depress the horn button and use a test light to see if you have voltage at the horn.if so replace horn. If not check the fuse if the fuse is blown replace and try again. if the fuse is not blown then check the relay.

My drive lights and dash lights are out what can cause this

light switch, fuse, or relay. Check under the hood for a relay box. The headlight relay should click when the switch is turned on. Any more questions, please let us know.

this could be a little more simple depending on the lighting outside. quite a few GM's with DRL will turn on the dash lights and tail lights automatically when it gets so dark outside. if it happens when it's completely dark out i would check the switch itself and maybe the relay incase it is sticking
