The switch has failed in the "park" circuitry..need new switch, or clean it with electrical contact cleaner you'd find at radio shack. take the switch by the hand and work it back an forth to see if you can clean up the bad spot.
it a 50/50 shot that you might fix it...mines doing the same thing but i just have to wait about 5 minutes and then the finally go to the park position, but it goes very slowly..thats whats to be expected out of a 22 year old Classic.

How do i get wiper arm to go to edge of windshiels

At the bottom of the wiper arm lift the cover, you will see the nut that holds the wiper arm on just undo and wiggle the arm off replace about four splines up then refit, If not enough just undo again and move up another few splines.

The windshield wipers wont go back into position

Hyundai uses plastic washers in their windshield wipers to prevent wiper transmission damage due to excessive force ie trying to use them when they are stuck to the windshield. There's a small hinged "cap" at the base of each wiper. Flip the cap up and using a pair of pliers, tighten down the bolts. Be careful not to overtighten them or risk doing damage to the washers. If this doesn't solve your problem, you may need to replace the washers beneath the nut that connects to the wiper transmission.

WINDSHIELD WIPERS STILL ON ALL THE TIME

Look for the fuse/relay in fuse box. If you still have no luck you have to disconnect the switch in the vehicle.
The problem is either the switch , relay or circuit is shorted.

Wind shield wipper handle wont stay in place it broke how do you fix it

Hi there,

Well you can please follow the below steps -
1. Lift the wiper arm away from the windshield. If the tension spring is damaged or broken, the arm will not show resistance. If it is functioning properly, then pull the arm back until the hinge locks in a vertical position.
2. Remove the retaining nut at the base of the windshield wiper arm and pull the wiper arm off.
3. Slide the new wiper arm assembly on.
4. Tighten the retaining nut and lower the arm back down to the windshield.
Please post comments for any other help or information......

Good Luck!!

Thanks

1999 plymouth voyager front windshield wipers not working proper

Sure pull the cover off the arm at the base(by the bottom of the windshiel) under that you will find a bolt. Unbolt the arm and pull it off then adjust both arms so that they do not entangle at the high point. You can turn on the wipers and when they reach the high end quickly shut off ignition they will stop at this position so you can adjust them, This is what we would do at the shop for about 200 bucks. Take your time and be sure to tighten everything up when you're don and you will do great. Have fun.
