I could not find anything on a P1033
so I am assuming you have a P0133
here is a copy directly from my service manual
code P1033 Bank 1 sensor Slow response - f58281b.gif
so the quick guess would be a bad O2 sensor
the bad news is that I've seen two of these this year that were a result of burnt valves

so make sure you check fuel pressure first, then exhaust back pressure and then finally compression readings

if all of these are good then replace the O2

the likelihood of getting a defective O2 sensor, even from Autozone is
    like 1 in 100,000

and even if you do not feel a misfire you still could have a base engine issue

did you do the compression, back pressure or fuel pressure tests yet?

Are you wanting to know where it is located? Would be in the exhaust at the manifold or can be anywhere in the exhaust pipe back to where the exhaust pipes meet into one pipe. No 1 in most autos is on the right hand side. When you purchase the o2 sensor ask you parts clerk to confirm this. They have the info. Thanks hope this is what you wanted. Darrell S

Are you sure that sensor was the number 1 sensor? If it is and not responding take it back to the parts store the sensor is guaranteed. Darrell S

What is the code PO133 means on 2001 chevi tracker 2.5 6 cylinders?

P0133 Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S) Slow Response Bank 1 Sensor 1 You Could need a new O2 sensor !
A lean-to-rich transition is indicated when the HO2S voltage changes from less than 300 mV to more than 600 mV. A rich-to-lean transition is indicated when the HO2S voltage changes from more than 600 mV to less than 300 mV. A HO2S that responds too slowly is likely to be faulty and should be replaced
This is something that needs to be checked with a scan tool or a volt meter set on millivolts . A scan tool is preferable !
How does the vehicle run ? ruff - smooth , does it have a misfire ?

How to fix code p0170 hiundai tiburon

Code P0170 indicates a bank 1 fuel trim problem. Probable causes:
1. Faulty sensor or solenoid
2. Control unit software needs updating
3. Faulty PCM or ECM
4. Fuel pressure problem. Check pump, regulator, filter, and lines

P0153 O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response - Bank 2 Sensor 1
For the 6 cylinder engine I got the above result which indicates an O2 sensor is bad or contaminated.

Would change the O2 sensor.

Can't find what P1033 means what it is or how to fix it.

Oxygen sensor slow response bank 1 sensor 1. Usually a sign that O2 sensor needs to be replaced, not switching properly from open to closed loop.

My car indicates check engine sigh with following two codes 1: p0139 2: p0140

Hi Garcha,

Both codes relate to O2 Sensor # 2

Code P0139: O2 Sensor Circuit Slow Response - Bank 1, Sensor 2
Code P0140: O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected - Bank 1, Sensor 2

A faulty O2 sensor will mean incorrect signals will be sent to the EFI computer, causing erratic engine running.

Cheers,

2003 hyundai tiburon check engine light

You're right, the PO154 has to do with the O2 sensor. The code has the info of Oxygen Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2 Sensor 1).
Bank 2 is the exhaust manifold that cylinder #2 uses.
Sensor 1 is the sensor in BETWEEN the exhaust manifold and the catalytic converter.
No Activity Detected in the circuit could mean the O2 sensor is dead, or an open/cut wire going to the sensor.
That's about all the info you can get out of that code PO154.
