Well i don't think i would try that just yet. i would say if your battery is good i would start by checking the starter first cheaper to do and you can have your starter tested at a local auto parts store.

Honda code CRBC 1225

If the engine will spin over but not start more than likely the timing belt has broken or stripped. That would be why they told you that the engine was shot. Those are interference engines, meaning when they get out of valve timing, like a broken timing belt, the valves will hit the pistons and damage the engine.
So first thing I would advise is to determine if there is a problem with the timing belt. If so more than likley the motor is damaged.

Engine turnsover but wont start. Im getting fuel to the fuel rail. I have spark, checked all relays and fuses. The car was running then just stopped. Any solutions?

sounds like your timing belt broke. Go to the passenger side of the engine compartment and take off the top plastic timing cover. Watch the belt as someone turns it over. if the belt does not move while being turned over then you need a timing belt.

Bought new battery but car won't start. Is it the timing chain?

Take the timing belt cover off to inspect the condition of the belt. Look for any missing teeth & tauntness of belt. You may have to replace it.The engine may be out of time with the cam shaft. It's hard to go any futher without knowing engine size. Good luck!

1999 volvo s80 wont start tries to turn over and you can hear fuel system kick in but wont start

do you have spark? may be the timing. if it turns and turns and wont start, take off a plug wire.(wear heavy gloves) hold it close to the plug and have someone turn the motor. If it sparks, not the timing, if it not, timing belt is gone

My 2003 crysler sebring stalled and want start back I geting the camshift sensor code I replaced it and car still wont start and still geting the code Would the timeing belt casue this

Yes a timing belt could cause this. Ususally if the timing belt breaks/slips the engine will have a different sound while cranking it over to try to start it. Does it sound different? Also, if possable remove the cam position senser and look at the tone wheel that the senser reads and have someone crank the engine to see if the tone wheel turns, if not the timing belt is most likely the problem. I have seen a few tone wheels have problems but it is not common. What engine do you have?
