There should be a square divet one low and one high on the side of the transmission that you can unscrew and refill with the gear oil.

Leaks gearoil bad cv joints whats the problem transmission 0r other

Is it a standard tranny or auto? The CV joints usually make an awful racket before they go, the bearings and seals go out, and it will leak oil, But I don't think it would be gear oil in an automatic, I might be wrong, been a while since I messed with CV joints, don't have any cars with front drive anymore. The auto tranny fluid is red, and thin, gear oil is black and thick, like maple syrup. In case you didn't know, The CV joints are an easy fix for most shops, they used to do it for about $150, I have no idea what they charge now. Check it out. Hope this helps.

1992 Mazda MX3 driver side cv axle won't come out. Took off nut axle stuck and won't come out. How can I get it out?

Get a good pry bar and wedge the bar between the CV shaft and where it goes into the tranny. You should be able to pop it out.If not rotate the shaft and repeat untill it lets go.It is only held in place by a round clip on the shaft inside the tranny.Be patient its been there a long time. Good Luck

CV Joint Replacement '92 Mazda mx3

I suggest getting a service manual. If you've never done one before, a book will explain a vehicle specific order of operations. Chiltons or Haynes are good. consider it $20 insurance. Good Luck.

Cv joints/tranny

Hate to the bearer of bad news, but it sounds like one of the gears in the transmission is shot (namely the ring and pinion gear.) One thing to check and see is to look under the hood and look at where the CV joints enter the transmission. Have someone put it into gear while you look. See if the output shafts of the transmission is turning, but the inner CV joint is not.

Much as I hate to say it, you picked a bad car for a beginning driver. Parts are expensive for this car, and sometimes hard to come by.
