My 2001 Beetle 1.8l turbo was driving fine and now it stalls out of nowhere. When the Mass airflow sensor was disconnected the car would run fine, So I replaced it thinking that was the faulty part. Now...

i would start by having engine idle in park and pop open the fuse box and move the relays to see if it stalls, many mechanics use a test light to find electrical issues and probe to hard therefore opening the electrical contacts thus causing intermittent point of contacts on relays fuses etc. hope this helps you .if not call me again with further info.

Temperature light is flashing red, coolant is

fan relay is under the frame on the left by the fans. but most likely the fans themselves have gone bad check the fuse panel on top of the battery see if it is burned or blown fuse this is caused by the fans going from stop to high speed to many times. you will flat 40 or 50 amp flat blade fuse and both fans sorry for bad news

2001 Beetle, none of the gages are working!

You may have a relay in the wiring that you can trace to find and then test with multi-tester or ohmmeter.
If you do not have a relay for the cluster, then you may have loose connection or solder joints or may need new panel

need relay layout for 2001VW Beetle 1.8 turbo having touble no power on seat warmers and outside temp not reading brake light is on and beeping need help. found all relay but dont know the right one need some help.
