SOURCE: 2007 chevy cobalt ls won't

Ignition relay or fuse could be the problem. When you turn the key to start do you hear a fuel pump kicking on and or do you have spark when you hot wire the starter (I know it's hard to check while trying to start it)? You can email me back and I might be able to pinpoint it more.

sounds like a bad starter motor, autozone will test it free out of car.
it is a royal pain to get the starter out so pay close attention so it will be easier going back in.

SOURCE: My 1993 Buick Park Avenue just Clicks once when you turn the key on starter won't engage the battery is fine

Sounds like a bad starter or a bad battery cable connection to me. If you are certain that tyour battery is in good condition and fully charged, your battery cables are clean and tight and are making good connection on BOTH ends, replace the starter.

Need help electrical Issues

Here is the drill.
Start with the battery.
Undo the terminals and give them a good cleaning. (Until shiny metal is showing, no matter what kind of metal)
Also, check the cables in particular that go to the terminal clamps. Although the cables are usually good, certain things can cause them to fail, like corrode or break inside the plastic cover.
You would not see the problem as the wire covering ( usually black plastic) is covering the problem.
Then, go to the starter solenoid, which can be on the inner fender or on the starter itself.
It is cylindrical in shape, and has two large terminals for wires, one to the battery, one to the starter.
It can cause this problem, and your year of 2001 means it is inside the range of "could fail".
After that, the only thing left is the starter motor itself.
If you can take it apart, it perhaps it can be rebuilt, or maybe it can only be replaced.
God bless your efforts.

2001 GMC jimmy won't start. New starter, new

If the starter motor is turning the problem may be a broken flywheel tooth. If starter is not engaging the solenoid may be bad or not hooked up but that seems unlikely since starter was replaced. The problem's down there. If solenoid not clicking then problem may be further back.

2001 jaguar s-type won't crank battery new and charged. Turn the ignition car won't make a sound

many things will cause no start problems could have faulty ignition switch.use test light see if power going to starter if not check ignition fuse to starter.if power going to starter, more likely starter solenoid or starter faulty.if ignition fuse okay and starter and solenoid okay still no start problem could be in the ignition switch or inhibitor switch faulty.code scan for faulty theft security system which will also cause no start conditions.

Won't start. 2 fully charged batteries tried. Cleaned battery connections. Just clicks when turning key to "Start". Car stopped while driving. Towed home.

This sounds like a loose connection at the starter, Follow the positive battery cable down to the starter. Check the connection for being hot (rusty color). There are two large connections on the starter check both. If one or the other looks discolored the starter may be damaged. Be sure the engine is not locked up. Try to turn the engine by hand at the main crank bolt.

The car won't start; lights, ac, radio etc come on but car won't turn over or even click; checked battery cables; put different battery in; still won't start

Check the starter and the starter relay or fuse. A client of mines car was doing the same thing, it ended up being two issues, the starter not working anymore, and a relay that was bad. If I am not mistaken everything should be labeled in the fuse box under the hood and will tell you where the fuse/ relay is for your vehicle

Possibly but it sounds more like a bad starter. The next time you have someone with you and it won't turn over, tap the bottom of the starter with a hammer while the other person tries to start the engine. Just be careful of the connections to the starter. If it starts, replace the starter. Check that the battery cables are clean and secure before tapping the starter.*** Please rate me on this answer.***
