How to break in a new motor

Factory assembled motors don't need as much breaking in as DIY overhauls. Whichever, the key things are

- don't lug the engine
- don't run at high revs for extended times
-change gears more often
-change engine oil and filter more often, say at 20 miles then 1000 miles then 5000 miles.

What size v6 did they put in them and what do they run prize wise

They had 2.7L and 3.5L motors. The 2.7L have serious motor problems and should be avoided. They often need a new motor at 90,000 miles, at a cost of $3,000. Different years had 2.5L, 3.0L (mostly the dodge stratus) 3.3L, and 3.5L V6 motors. because of the 2.7L being bad most people avoid these cars making them cheaper. Try kellybluebook.com for prices. Average is $2,000-6000, depending on miles and options.

Check all ground connections, body to motor ground strap, battery to motor and body ground. Also change fuel filter if it has not been changed within 50,000 miles.

ON THIS CAR WHEN DOES THE TIMING BELT NEED TO BE CHANGED ?

your timing belt needs to be replaced every 90,000 miles on the older cars they are to be replaced at every 60,000 miles. but if it was me i would do every 60k just because breaking a timing belt can cost you a motor and for your camery that can cost up to 2000 for a rebuilt motor.

What weight of oil do i need to run in my 1999 k1500 chevy truck, it has 190,000 miles and I live in arkansas. I drive about 1500 miles a month.

SAE 5W-30 or 10W-30 will cover colder temps and most warmer temps. 10W-40 is a good choice in hot months - just make sure they are a high detergent ( most are nowadays)

Wats the best motor oil for a 94 toyota camry with 100,000 miles... 15W-40,20W-40, 20W-50

Climate has as much to do with your choice of motor oil as the amount of miles on the engine. If you live in a cold climate and your winter temps are often below freezing, you'll want to go with a lighter oil that will circulate better in the cold temperatures. Conversely, in a hot climate, a heavier oil that won't break down in viscosity would be a good choice. As far as the mileage goes, most oils are about the same and as long as you change your oil often, whatever oil you choose based on climate should suit you and the car well. I hope this clarifies your question. Best of luck!

Honda odyssey 2005

The tranny fluid on most cars and trucks is 30,000 miles ,as far as the engine oil if you use a good oil brand like Honda motor oil or even like Motorcraft they are a synthectic blend 5w20 and you can go 5,000 miles between oil changes. Now if your useing regular motor oil change it every 3,000 miles.Hope that helps
