Question about Dodge Caravan
These vans had problems with the camshaft and crankshaft sensors. I'm pretty sure a bad crankshaft sensor will prevent any spark at all so I'd replace that first. Even if you replace both, they're due and you'll prevent future problems. The crank sensor is mounted way down at the back, between the engine and transmission. It's held in with one little bolt, just undo it, disconnect it, and slide it out. To install it, you just slide it in but you need to leave the thickness of a paper match between it and the gear that it senses. A good method to achieve this is to just glue a strip of a paper match on the end of it and insert it until it gently bottoms. The match piece will not interfere with it's operation and just fall off in time. I'll get the exact location in a minute and post back to you.

I recently had the same issue, but my airbag warning lights also turned on. If this is the case, it might be the clockspring. There is a recall on clocksprings for Caravans 1998 - 2000 I believe. I got it replaced for free in the dealership. Enter your VIN in this site and it will tell you if you are covered in the free replacement warranty.
Hope this helps.
