Question about 1997 Honda CR-V
I think I read on WikiAnswers, "The CKP looks like a small gear with long teeth located inside the distributor housing. If the CKP fails, unfortunately you must replace the entire diestributor housing."
I might be having the same problem with this component, so any clarification would be nice.

it is located on the bellhousing of the transmission it gets its signal from the flywheel.look where the transmission bolts to the engine.

Hello oldiro: My name is Roger and I can help. From under the vehicle look up between the transmission and the side of the block. Mid motor above the pan rail there is a bolted in sensor. This should be the crank sensor.It will have two wires plugged in to it. Please rate this answer as this lets us know you received the information you asked for.
