Do a battery leak test, separate the neg cable and jump it with a test light, it should light and then dim, if not something is staying on, look for a light or radio that is staying on, i usually pull the fuses one at a time till the light goes off, but dont get fooled by the ecm fuse it always draws a little, then chaeck cables on the battery , and check alternator voltage charge, should be approx 14 volts, driving it every day is bunk, or there would be a lot of dead cars in the citywhere people use them only on the weekends, as for the spring i would have to see it

Each time I start the engine, my Hyundai i30 radio reboots itself. Has been updated (firmware). If necessary Hyundai will replace the radio. Will this solve the issue?

Maybe, Also get the battery stress tested for impending failure.

The radio keeps its presets by a constant 12V connection not cut off by removal of the key. The current draw is only tiny.

In our car we had this fault and it was it was in the radio proper. However the auto electrician we asked said that in some cars a dying battery will drop to maybe 10V on a cold morning, and the radio is intolerant of it.

So it could be either. If the battery is less than say 3 years old it should be OK.

71 c10 not staying charged... new battery alternator fuses good and new voltage regulator

Maybe it wasn't running long enough to charge up the battery?
Stop trying to jump it, when you are having problems with it dying, take the battery off and have it charged. And/or buy a $20 voltmeter to see what the battery shows. If it says less than 12 volts, it is discharged, and needs charging. A good battery that is not run down should have at least 12.5 volts. A new battery that is charged should have very close to 13 volts, maybe 12.8 volts.
When you have the truck running, check the alternator for charging. You put the voltmeter right on the battery and check it again. This time, with truck running, battery should show at least 13.5 volts. That shows the alternator is working. A good alternator will put out about 13 or 14 volts-the regulator will keep it from going any higher to prevent problems, like a melting battery or electrical parts burning out.
I would say get the charging system working right, then address the problem of dying at stop lights. That could be a carburetor problem, if the alternator is working.

I have a 1989 Volvo 740 gle sedan i bought a battery but it will not hold charge, but it did last me 6 hours but sadly when night time came around and i turned on the head lights the car died. i got i jump...

Hello, The alternator is responsible for charging the battery. From what you have explained it sounds like a bad alternator. I may go to the person you bought the car from and ask to see documentation such as a receipt of purchase of the alternator. If he bought a new or refurbished alternator then it is defective and the place it was bought from should refund or replace it. If he got one used off another car or perhaps a junk yard then "new" can be an overstatement.

I bought a new Tucson 2006. The battery died in Oct 2009 and I replaced it, died again in May 2010, I replaced it, died again in Oct 2010 and I replaced it. Jan 10, 2010 it has obviously died again. ...

If the battery was made in china, Which walmart likes to buy from, I would go to another store and get one that will work for more than a couple of months. PS Don't get one from autozone either.

Where do you keep your keys? If you have them in pocket or purse, something may be pushing one of the buttons constantly, thus, draining the battery.
