If the door skin is creased, you can get a new door skin or pull the dent out. Then you need to look at the hinges and the door stays that are supposed to limiting opening travel. You can replace them.
Take off the trim panel and see if you can see the servo that controls the locks push rod. It may have been disconeted, or broken, the ends are usually made of plastic. Also you will be able to see if it is even actuating when you press the lock/ unlock. Good luck!
