I just hadthe same issue this past week.Turned out to be the power steering pump.Hyundai wanted 713$ for it plus labour of course after I had paid an hour and a half to find the problem,, I went to a local parts suplier and got a reconditioned pump for 210$ with the return of the original pump. Took me two bolts and about 45 min to do the job, very easy to do.saved some serious dollars.

My sunroof wont close on my 2004 hyuandai santa fe how do i fix it

First make sure it is on/in the track to close. If it is not "off Track" then check the fuses. Hope this helps. My santa fe doesn't have a sun roof so I'm shooting in the dark.

Is it a "wine" noise that gets louder when you rev it up? Sounds like an idler pulley. Is it a 3.3L motor?

Whining noise when AC or heat is on coming from engine compartmen

I suspect it is the blower fan and the ductwork for the air intake to the blower picks up the air in front of the engine compartment.

It would also be a good idea to have your alternator checked and use the A/C heat controls to see how much the blower motor is demanding from the alternator. Autozone and Oreillys will check the alternator on the car for free.

I have a 2003 Hyundai Santa Fe V6 3.5L with automatic transmission. 48K miles. When I start the car after sitting over night, I hear this whirring/whining noise from the engine compartment. I goes away...

your whining noise might be comming from dry belts in order to pinpoint your problem have a jug of water ready before startup open the bonnet then startup if the noise appears pour water over the belts if noise goes away replace v belts
