The vent function no longer works, i.e. won't blow

I have a 2004 Mercury Grand Marquis. The vent function no longer works, i.e. won't blow air through the vent setting. Seems to be stuck in Defrost/floor setting. What do I do to repair it?

Manual or electronic heater/A/C controls?

Could be loose vacuum harness on back of control head. Need to put 10" tie straps on to hold it tight to control head.

I have poor air circulation for my 2001 Mercury grand marquis. I only get air from one dash vent. the blower goes up and down but even on high it seems like it is medium

well, if nothing was disconnected on the ducts and the selector works fine , my guess will be that you have a nest in the fan it self, take it out and clean the nest so the fan can blow full amount of air. good luck.

2007 merc grand marquis heater air comes out all of the vents and very little out of the defrost vents

Check to make sure the engine vacuum is getting to the heater/ac control. Bad vacuum hose or leak. Many vehicles use engine vacuum to move heater doors and controls. When the vacuum is absent, it usually defaults to air blowing out the AC vents.

2003 Grand Marquis air suspension vents (deflates) completely at times lately.

You do have a leak and it is one or more of the air suspension springs, I have seen this same scenario dozens of times on Ford products with air suspension.

Air conditioner blows heated air

Sounds like ??
If the compressor is running and the system is full of freon, you may have a blend door problem under the dash. The blend door directs air flow thru the heater core and evaporator core depending on the temp setting on the dash.

I have a 2002 mercury grand marquis, and the air condition only blows through the defrost not the vent please help.

The vacuum-actuated door flap not functioning from either vacuum leak(worn out actuator, bad hose or switch) or it is jammed open with a pen-like object that fell into the ductwork(all of which is under the dash)

2000 Mercury Grand Marquis will only blow hot air when ac is on. The ac system does work lines get cold but will not blow nothing but hot air. Has automatic climate control system. Will direct air from...

needs re-gassing because one line should be hot (feed) and the return cold , This is a specialist job do not attempt to do it yourself because its extremely dangerous with very high pressures involved
