Hi! Maybe and maybe not. Try checking on the fuse/relays under the hood for moisture may build up when its cold thats why your dash lights are on when raining but will go off when dried up. Try replacing the cracked relays for those are the ones who gets the moisture. HOpe this helps and have a good one!

The dash lights on my 2006 F150 do not work when the head light switch is in the "automatic" mode. The tail lights do not work when the same switch is in the "headlamp on" position, but...

I would check the grounds for the BODY SECURITY MODULE. I think it is near the back of the cab, behind the driver. There is one ground on the cab panel and the other is on the driver A pillar, probably below dash, behind kick panel. The BSM interfaces witht he Autolamp.

black/light green wire on cab panel and black on A pillar.

2004 malibu classic. When it rains, it will not start easily. Maybe after a dozen tries, it will start. When it starts, it runs fine but there are problems with some of the lights not turning on when they...

Check all your connections under the hood, and check to see where the water is penetrating, check especially the battery connects. Usually the cause of a no start in rain/high humidity conditions is that the spark voltage is arcing to the engine metal rather that to the spark plug because of worn out spark plug wire insulation. You may be able to observe this when the engine is running at night in a dark location when it is wet outside by opening the hood and observing for arcs jumping out from the spark plug wires. The distributor cap could also be cracked which can also short the voltage to ground. It is suggested to replace the spark plug wires and look carefully at the distributor cap for any signs of a crack.

Don't have any dash lights or tail lights , changed light switch, dimmer switch and body modual did not help and all fusses are good all grounds are good, any new idears would be a great help

Welll.... It's time to use a test light. Take the main fuse out and test all the wires on it for power. Determin which wire is driving lights (tail lights) and i would hot wire it to either a power wire from the dash or from the Tail lights. This just might fix everything.
Please leave a good feedback for me on here.
Hope this helps.

Turn signals speed up when lights are on. Normal when off. What's going on?

When this happened on my '01 venture, it disabled the traction control. What happens is that the left(in my case) taillight wire harness corrodes from rain and melts the contacts to the lights. If I step on the brakes when the turn signal is on, both dash turn indicatoprs will flash and the outside signal flashes quickly. The fix was to purchase another harness and splice it in, in place of the damaged one. It has happened twice to me within 4 months so I replaced the splices with quick connectors in case it happens again. I went to the junkyard and purchased 3 extra harnesses for little money and keep them in the car. Otherwise we love the van. HTH and good luck.

Ground wire problem under the dash board usually below the heater control unit - does not require removal of the dash.

Recommended tools:
- test light or "voltometer"
- New clamps to ground the wire (possibly replacement wire)

time to fix problem:
- 2-3 hours (rough estimate)

Cant find a erlay for indicators, is there one?

Under the dash on the left side is where the relays are. Turn on the hazards and listen for the noise under the dash.

Wiring Short?

im dave
im not sure which ground you cleaned and changed but i would start with the oone closest to the problem area. Look under the kick panel at your left ankle or under the dash where the light switch is. Is your floor wet after these rains along that sidewall where your left foot would be? Could be you have a leak in the windshiel allowing water in there and shorting your ground.
let me know how this goes
