Get yourself a bottle of clear touch up lacquer.
Carefully remove the loose flakey edges of the lacquer from your paintwork and clean the area the best you can.
Apply the touch up lacquer along the edges where it has been peeling off, this should stop it peeling further.
Then continue to re-lacquer the rest of the bare paint that's already peeled off.
Leave it to cure for 48 hours and then apply a sealant glaze (Not polish) to the whole car to protect your paintwork.
The best sealant on the market in my view is KLASSE high gloss sealant glaze, they also produce a polish called "All in one" but you won't really need this unless the rest of your paintwork is oxidized( has a dull appearance ), but avoid using the polish on the newly lacquered area.
The high gloss sealant should be used last.
I would recommend applying at least three coats of sealant but wait at least 24 hours for each coat to cure before applying the next coat.
You can read customer reviews about the sealant by simply going to google and type in Klasse sealant glaze, you should also find a list of places to purchase it.

If this does not work then your only option is the bodyshop.

Note.....there are also professional sealants that can last quite a few years.

Sorry to say it but in most cases it needs to be repainted. If you want to try you can lightly sand it and reclear coat it, but if the base coat is causeint it to peal then it needs to be sanded and sealed with a good primer/sealer and repainted.

How to inflate wheel

with a pump, if it fails to inflate you have a puncture, if no puncture the valve could have gone or if they are alloy wheels the lacquer could be peeling off this could cause wheel to leak around the rim, same if they are steel wheels cause they can rust and this can cause wheel again to leak around the rim.

The clear is peeling on the paint on my explorer sport truck 2004 How can I fixed

The damaged clear has to be gently sanded off, the paint layer repaired if necessary and a new coat of clear sprayed on. Thus is not a diy job if you have no experience with paint and body work. It will require some specialized tools and knowledge. The tools and supplies will probably cost you near what a shop will charge to fix it.

Where is the jack and tools for spare tire?

CHANGING A FLAT TIRE
Jack Location
In the Durango, the scissor jack and tire changing tools
are stowed under the second row seat.
The jack is secured in place with a winged stud and a
fixed stud. It is very important to secure the jack tightly
in place by engaging the slot in the base to the fixed stud
under the middle seat. The winged stud inserts through
the eyelet in the end of the jack’s worm screw.

It appears the wing mirrors on eos have a defect the paint on the outside goes bubbly and peels off... I am looking to buy an eos but everyone ive viewed is the same is this easy to fix and how soon can i...

I am an EOS owner and do not have this problem but looking on owner boards it is a common fault. i would ask any dealer to replace them before you are prepaired to buy a car from them it seems that is what a lot of peple have done as vw may not say they know about the problem but secretly they do.
it seems that the wing mirrors are made from a magnisium alloy which is harder than pure aluminium. there seems to be a problem with the anti corrosion layer on the metal which has this effect on the paint.

another option is to buy some nice chrome wing morror covers which will hide any issues underneath.

How do you replace brake light bulbs

  1. Slide your fingers beneath the carpeted trunk trim and peel it away from the trunk's interior.
  2. Remove the four wing nuts that fasten the taillight assembly to the car. Place the nuts in your pocket or a small bag for safekeeping.
  3. Lift the taillight assembly away from your Grand Am's body. Press the five restraining tabs to release the assembly plate from the lens cover.
  4. Pull the defective bulb directly out of its socket and replace it with the new bulb. Once it's secure, press the assembly plate back into place.
  5. Test the new light to make sure it's working. If the bulb lights up, attach the lens cover, fasten the wing nuts and replace the trunk trim.

Trunk leaking water thru vents in the side walls

Easy to fix. Remove trunk liner or peel back on passenger side. Squeeze tabs that hold in the vent housing and push out. You have to loosen the bumper panel over in the wheel well area. This is just two bolts that take a 10 mm wrench and a plastic body clip. Remove vent from outside of car. Take off old gasket and throw away. Clean vent and metal around where vent goes completely with lacquer thinner. Use a product such as Lexel to caulk around where gasket used to be. Be liberal with caulking, it all covers. Reinstall vent and other parts in reverse order. Poblem solved. One hour to do and no special tools required.
