On all the cars i"ve worked on i just pulled away the carpet that run up to the top edge and pull it out of the way and you'll see some big black plastic knobs with tabs on them its for loosening it up, sometimes there are two of them, then the light should pull out the back. can you rate this, thanks!

88 suzuki Samari I replaced RR and LR tail lights housing. (New)blinkers work break lights work also.when I take foot off break pedal the break lights stay on and parking light and break light.Help

Their is switch the brake switch its on the brake pedal up high .
It sounds like its working because the lights work .
However it dose have an adjustment on most of them ware you can move the switch in or out so it olny makes contact when you touch the pedal with your foot .
This sounds like you need to back the contact out a little its a nut 1/2 turn should do it .
Its usely vary simple take a look at it even if you need to replace it it is an 88 its inexpensive and not hard to do .

S10 pick up back cab break light not functioning

The break light bulb on the back of the cab goes out a lot. Just remove the lens and replace the bulb. Get the bulb from the dealer ONLY! All other bulbs burn too hot and will melt the lens.

Break lights and blinkers not working

If you put the tester on the outlets and it lights up properly but the bulbs dont, you have already concluded that the wiring isn't the problem. unless of course the wires are corroded and simply putting the bulb in shorts it out. Have you tested the bulbs?

Back break lights

Same problem have someone check the ECM and the turn signal assembly voltage. The ECM is located by fuse box under dash and turn signal assembly is in the steering wheel. But they can check the voltage on both before replacing. Good luck

No brake lightd on 1996 dodge caravan

You might have a bad break light switch. It is in the break pedal area. If you probe the wires on the switch one should be battery voltage. If no voltage then the problem is most likely a fuse. I don't know exactly which fuse it is. If you have power at the switch then check the other wire and see if it has battery voltage when you press the break pedal. If you have power when you press the break then there is a problem with the wire going back to the lights or the circuits for the directional sighal/emergency circuits because they are also using these lights. I hope this helps you to at least define the a possible cause.
