Most likely the intake air temperature sensor.
The on-board computer needs this to monitor the temp of the outside air so as to provide optimum engine performance.
If you insist on installing an exposed air filter, you must retain the IAT sensor and mount it somewhere close to the K&N filter.

Part number: 4B0819439C.
Filter element (dust and A/C polen filter) with odor and harmful substances filltration. Placed on the right side of the car, (engine bonnet raised), under cover plate for water box (also for battery box), and under water deflector at the bottom of the windshield - right side for Left Hand Steering wheel.

For Right Hand Steering wheel cars the cabin air filter is placed on the left side !

Where do I find the air filter on my 1999 Montero Sport?

It's probably not your air filter, but that is located at the end of the big hose on the right side under the hood, it looks like a big box. It sounds like it might be the idling sensor.

Change fuel filter on a 01 a6 and car wont start

Loosen the line on the filter going to the engine. It maybe has an air lock in the line. Cracking it open will releive the air & then the gas will flow out.

How do I remove/replace the air filter in a 2001 Audi S4 ?

there is a large round flexiable hose that goes to the engine, at the other end of that hose is the rectangular shaped air filter box, it will be made out of plastic, under the top cover of this box is the air filter element.

2004 audi a4 problem

replacing your air filter I guess is your question. best way I have found is quite simple. 1.8l disconnect the N80 valve on way valve solenoid normally in a rubber housing connected to your intake air duct. remove small clamp and connector. remove intake air duct two phillips head screws on core support. remove two top screws from top of air box. you may have to loosen up the wiring that is held in place by clips to make it easier. spread box open pull out air filter... CURSE ALOT. then do the exact opposite for reassembly.

1998 Audi A4 Quattro rear speaker wiring

You can't use any of those - the large connector at the OEM speakers is because the rears are amplified. Your factory head unit puts out a line level signal to the rear speakers. There's an amplifier on the driver's side rear speaker (the box around the magnet that you can see from inside the trunk).

You need to either replace the head unit with an aftermarket one to drive your new speakers, or you need to tap into the amp connector and find the line level wires, break them out, put RCA plugs onto them, and plug them into an aftermarket amp, which you'd use to power your rear speakers. Doing it that way allows you to keep the factory head unit.
