There is just one wire bolted to the starter with usually a 10mm bolt.

94 ford tempo wont start. is my silenoid stuck or do i need a new starter. It does click when i try to start it.

clean the battery terminals if it is multiple clicks when you turn the key. otherwise try tapping the starter and have someone start it at the same time. that will tell you if it is the starter.

My negative and ground wire was replaced by me on a 94 Ford Tempo, Once replaced the ground wire was not hooked up right. I finally got the ground to work but now my starter is acting up. Sometimes the car...

I would double check all battery connections both pos and neg. If you are consistently able to get it start by tapping on the starter it is likely stuck / dirty brushes. I would replace the starter. If the car gives one good click when you try to start that is the starter solenoid allowing power to the starter but it sounds like your starter may be pooched.
Make sure you return your old unit to the parts store for your core credit.

Take care.

DESCRIBE HOW TO REMOVE A STARTER FROM A 93 FORD TEMPO

First disconnect the battery. After that, find the starter (should be bottom right). Remove the wires from the starter making sure you remember where they go. Remove the two bolts that hold it in place (one on top, one on bottom). Reverse all of this to put the new one in.
