May be a striped axle stub or a broken cv joint. but a bad trans is just as likely. have someone look under the car from the side at the axles. then start and put in gear to see if one of the axles turns but car dont move. if it spins then the outer cv joint is broke or the splines in the hub are stripped.

Is dodge eagle transmission interchangeable with dodge intreped

If the Eagle is 2 wheel drive try to determine if it has a 41te or 42te transmission. These can be interchanged by a knowledgeable mechanic assuming your vehicle is compatible. Many times these transmissions are referred to as a 604 or 606 respectively. The weak link in the 604 is it's output shaft splines.

2002 dodge 1500 tail shaft will not spline up

Are you talking about the prop shaft?
If so, then try checking the position of the oil seal. If it's butting up against that, then you may need to re-align it.
Also try putting the vehicle in neutral and turning the prop-shaft whilst pushing it in.
You should of course offer some lubrication to any splines before attempting this.

Driving to work - v6 auto galant 1997 lost all drive, made no sounds or noises - start fine, engages park but has no drive - driveshaft checked by aa and is fine

Torque converter has a splined hole that has stripped on the splined axle shaft coming out of the transmission. Because of this the power is not being transferred from engine to the transmission. You may be able to replace just the torque converter ( under $200 ) to repair the car if the splined axle shaft on the transmission is not stripped or broken. If the actual transmission is damaged the repair cost could go up astronomically.

WHAT MAKES THE STEERING WHEEL TURN ALL THE WAY AROUND

The stub shaft spline or the steering wheel shaft spline is stripped and needs to be replaced.
Sounds like someone had the wheel off and stripped the splines on removal/installation at one time.
You can try to improvise a key way slot system on the shaft but you have to be certain it is secure, this will save you a lot of time and money, unless the steering wheel is at fault then r&r the wheel and try to locate a used one when installing it be sure you line up the spline notches.

Driving a 2003 Ford windstar. Went to pass and

Very common on this make and model trans, pump drive splines inside torque converter strip out and pump is not turning, Most times there is no damage to pump shaft. Remove trans and remove torque converter, inspect the splines at the very bottom of the hub hole. If stripped out inspected pump shaft splines which are the smaller center splines coming out of trans, if ok replace torque converter and re-install trans, change out fluid, clean any metal from magnet and replace filter, fill with fluid and verify proper operation.

The wiper arms are mounted to "splined" shafts. Either the arm or shaft may be stripped. You need to remove the arm and inspect them.

Transmision instalation

Did you make sure the torque converter was properly seated on the input shaft of the transmission. In oder to do this you need to spin the torque converter and push it into the transmission so as to spline the torque converter into the input shaft of the transmission. Be patient and keep spinning and pushing and it will spline up.

How to disconnect front drive shaft

The half shafts are held in place by a small snap ring on the splined end of the shaft. They can be stubborn, but you should be able to dislodge it using a pry bar placed between the inner CV joint and the trans. Be careful to stay clear of the output seal on the trans. When reinstalling make sure the shaft snaps in all the way.
