Question about 1997 Chevrolet K1500
I have 1998 GMC K1500. The Park shift lock is not engaging. I took off the peice to replace it and then hooked it up to a batterie. It worked just fine. It is not getting power to it when it is in Park. What could be causing this?
A short in the wiring. you can eliminate the solenoid by keeping it off and pull the locking lever back and then secure it to stay unlocked
