Question about 2001 Nissan Pathfinder
I locked the car manually by pressing the locks on door from the drivers side and closed the door with a passenger inside. When I returned, the passenger unlocked the door from the inside manually on the passenger door, and the alarm went off. Finally it stopped, when we arrived at our destination, the alarm went off again when passenger opened the door. i turned the car off and on, opened and closed the doors, but the alarm would not go off until finally it went off on its own. How can I disarm the alarm?
Most security systems on vehicles have a small single pole throw type switch located under the dash board area on the drivers side, whatever direction you find the switch set in flip the switch to the opposite side to disarm the alarm, this is called putting the alarm in a passive or valet type mode until you can have the whole system checked by a certified alrm install facility that deals with the type alarm you have in your vehicle.
