Question about 2000 Kia Sportage
2000 Kia Sportage changed the camshaft position sensor(was told by mechanic that it needed to be replaced) car started right up...ran for 2 days now wont start..put code reader on it came up with temp codes of P0443 and P1693..do not know what else to do. Need to get this thing running for summer driving...any suggestions?
Evap purge valve fault is your p0443
p1693 is manu. controlled aux input output fault
p1693 is a code for an open or short to ground for the check engine light
does it light up when key is on? if so then it is a left over code from some previous repair attemt
the evap code wont prevent starting
check for broken timing belt
check for fuel in tank and that it has proper fuel pressure
