Your Toyota is going to use either Toyota ATF-WS or Type IV. There is no substitute for Toyota fluid that I know of even though they may claim they are compatible. Remember fluid is much cheaper than metal so only use Toyota fluid. I cannot tell you if WS can be used and it is critical that you use the correct fluid so I can only tell you that your owner's manual will tell you the correct fluid. If you have no owner's manual call your local Toyota dealer.

DATA: (mostly EPA bs)
WORLD STANDARD AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID
- TC010-07

100,000 Maintenance Interval - Inspection only; ATF-WS does NOT require any
flushing or changing during the life of the vehicle.
The use of Genuine Toyota ATF-WS is recommended.
The use of additives or aftermarket fluids that are considered compatible
or substitutes may result in shift concerns and damage to the internal
transmission components.
ATF-WS is NOT compatible with T-IV or Dexron ATF.
Containers storing Toyota ATF-WS should
always
be sealed - If exposed to the
atmosphere, ATF-WS may absorb moisture and potentially cause shift concerns if
used in operation.
One time use only.
When performing repairs on ATF-WS equipped transaxles, it is important to use
only
new
,
clean
ATF-WS when refilling the ATM.
ATF-WS equipped ATMs may use the overflow type procedure - Any fluid
drained from the overflow plug should be discarded following proper local
regulations and never reused. Failure to do so could result in shift concerns and
damage to the internal transmission components.

What is O/D on 1995 Toyota Camry? Light says O/D Off and car won't go into any forward gear. It runs and will back up, but not go forward.

o/d stands for over drive which is 4th gear in that trans.there is a button on the shifter to disable that gear for bad road conditions.depress the button to change, car should mostly be driven with o/d selected, meaning press the button until the o/d off light goes out.with all that said,if the light display wont go out it could indicate a trans failure code is present.if your car wont move in any forward gears, most likely you have in internal trans failure.check trans fluid level and condition, full and red is good.brown or darker colored fluid is bad.if fluid is low, then add to full mark and inspect for leaks.

98 toyota camry transmission service.

You can drain and fill your trans. It will take 2.5 -3.0 quarts of DEX III trans fluid....goes in the fill tube. Or you can get said transmission flushed which changes all fluid including torque converter.....about 15 quarts. Way more thorough.

Cant locate where to put my tranmissin fluid

usually you fill them through the transmission tube that has the dipstick in it, just put a funnel in the top of the tube and add the fluid but check to make sure you do not overfill it
Hope this helps
