2 ways that I can see from mine. I was under mine working on a leaky power steering rack and noticed that with an extension and maybe a wobbly nuckle I could access the spark plugs far easier than from above. From above I think you would almost have to take the manifold off to get to them. If you go that route change the valve cover gaskets too since these have a tendancy to be leaky and you have to remove the manifold to get at the rear one anyways... Hope this helps.

How to change the rear spark plugs of a 96 plymouth voyager

The engine plenum will have to be removed. This is what the air goes thru to get to the engine intake. Remove ground, mark tag remove required cable, wires and hoses, take digital photos as you go. Be patient. The good news is we don't have to change them every 20K miles.

98 Ply Grand Voyager, 1.4K miles with recurring P0305 code.

You say you changed the cap and rotor so I'm assuming the van has a 3.0L? Possible injector problem on cylinder #5, swap injector with cylinder 1 or 3 and see if miss/dtc moves to that cylinder. You also could have a vaccum leak, although they usually won't come and go. Does the vehicle have a consistent miss or do you just have a check engine light?

How do i get to the three spark plugs on the back side of the plymounth grand voyager

the easiest way ids yo put the car on jack stands and go from underneath with a extension a swivel and swivel ratchet. when the engine is cold remove the plug wires and reach up between the exhaust pipe and twist and pull wires off, it is not easy. Next be prepared to buy new wire set if you have not done so already. Then take the plugs out one at a time. use dielectric grease on the end of the spark plug wire that connects to the plug put a tiny bit around your pin-ky finger and rub the new wire with the grease so it will not jump spark. next gap the plugs spray a little wd 40 on the threads and insert plugs while you have the wires off tighten the rear valve cover bolts while you have it jacked up.

Changing spark plugs

there are two motor mounts right on top and in front of the motor when you open the hood, held in place by a single bolt each. block your wheels and put the car in nuetral. then remove bolts and pull motor foward. then you can put one bolt back in to hold it in place untill you are done.
