Location of the fuel filter on 1998 Tracer LS

The fuel filter is located on the firewall close to the bottom towards the driver's side. If you're looking at the engine from the front of the car you'll see a battery. Behind the battery is the master cylinder (the big black circle) It's left and down of that.

The car was running then the fuel cutout light came on and the car stopped running. I've replaced the fuel filter, and it still will not start.

Look in the owners manual for the location of the fuel pump reset button usualy in the trunk area Push the reset button and you should be good to go.

1994 Tracer

usually a surefire way to check the problem is first check the fuel pump relay.when you turn the key you should hear the relay click(they are located underneath the center console on the passengerside) if the relays are good, then check the fuel shutoff switch to see if it was triggered(this is located on the passenger side in the rear wheel housing, there is a little pull off panel and it's the reset button on top if it's tripped. If you still have a problem the othere things to check are the firing of the plugs if there is fire your fuel pump is bad,if not you eithere have a bad coil pack or a timing belt issue
