13.5 quarts, including the torque converter. The torque converter probably holds 4-6 quarts.

I have a 2000 ford taurus with Transmission Fluid coming out of the dip stick. can i fix this myself or do i have to take it in?

There is a transmission vent tube on top of the transmission, & when the vent tube sticks shut, it causes trans fluid to come out of the dipstick (path of least resistance), and/or, the trans pan gasket. This is a common issue w/ the 2000 Taurus. To resolve puncture the trans vent tube.

Car will not get into gear

Check to make sure you have transmission oil if not refill to correct level also check the shift cable is conncted to the gearshifteron tranny. if it still does not run check and make sure the fly wheel is connected to the trans. If it still does not run then you mite have to repair or replace the catalitic converter and tranny. Thanks

How to replace brake pads on a 1998 ford taurus

Too extensive to explain and diagram here; however,
Go to the "Reference Section" at your local public library.
Find the Chilton's or Motor's manual for the 1998 Ford.
Photocopy the pages you need using the public copy machines (10 ~ 20 cents per page).
You will need a large C Clamp in order to compress the brake caliper piston back into the wheel cylinder. Remove some of the brake fluid from the master cylinder; the fluid will "back-up" into the master cylinder reservoir when you compress the caliper piston.
Only two long bolts hold the floating caliper in place.

Can't find the spout to pour transmission fluid into Ford Taurus

You need a funnel to add trans fluid to the dipstick tube where u check the trans fluid level. Let me know if u need more help, Add fluid w/ engine running, shift car thru all gears to circulate fluid. Don't overfill, it's bad for the trans.
