Why bmw 2006 318 wont turn over

no gas, weak battery, crankshaft or camshaft sensor is bad, fuel pump bad, fuel pump relay or fuse is bad, haven't pushed clutch down far enough(rug caught underneath), fuel filter clogged, ignition coils bad. You need to give a hint as to what you have tried. Does it crank but not start/ Does it simply click(starter) and not crank/

My bmw 316ti compact keeps cutting out when slowing down towards a junction. The engine/revs shudder and the car locks up. It starts again straight away afterwards but what is causing it and how much will...

my 2003 bmw 316ti se id doing exactly same as this but also a rough idle when started from cold. it cuts out at most junctions etc when putting on breaks and pushing in clutch, starts no problem. it drives beautifully when out of town etc no overheating etc. please help. i just had a mechanic on it for 5 hours with no solution.

there was a fault came up when plugged into diagnostics (MAF sensor) but checked maf sensor and it is a new one so erased fault code and hasnt came back so assuming this wasnt erased when new part put in.

I have a bmw 318 ci se and just got it serviced, since i got it back it didnt have the same kick.i brought it back and they took it for a test drive, brought it back and then they couldnt start it,theyve now...

Yes highly possible in fact ,one minute ok then oops ,I wouldnt blame the garage for this it could go at any time ,unless of course they had another car in with a similar problem that you had with loss of power and someone was swopping parts over to find the cause or one of the mechanics was doing a private job and knew what the problem was and your car became the donor ?? or it was just coincidence and my mind is is ?? well running wild with possibilities

Engine cuts out

BMW CUTS OUT
A few things to check.
  1. Is fuel pump delivering enough fuel.
  2. Is injectors clean. Perhaps dirt in fuel. replace fuel filter
  3. Air leakage at top air intake of manifold at ICV idle control valve. Two hoses inside this housing prone to perishing.
  4. Throttle position sensor faulty.
  5. Mass air flow sensor faulty.
  6. ICV faulty or dirty. comon fault on older e36.
Havent done it yet but ICV is easy to clean according to internet. instruction available at bmw e36 blog. All off above can be tested by yourself according to manual.

BMW 316 L reg, car stalls and dies when changing down approaching a junction, I have to leave it for a number of hours, then it will start. This is doing my head in.

I had a friend who bimmer did this. It was the sensor that goes to the air cleaner. I can't remember what is is called specifically, but check with your BMW parts man and he will know.

BMW 316i KEEPS STALLING WHEN SLOWING DOWN AT JUNCTIONS

at the engine, there is a small sensor that helps increase or decrease the rpm of the engine. Perhaps yours is soo low, that when you slow down, it's almost about to stop.

The other problem could be the airfilter sensor. If it's not properly fixed or if the sensor itself is a bit damaged, than the engine is not getting enough air and so, let's the engine almost go off.

Please give further details if this has not helped.

thank you
