Question about 1998 Ford Explorer
Have a 98 ford explorer , change my transmission out the new transmission when you put it in D my RPM run a little high but onces it gets going it shift in all gears and it find , now the book saids it a electronically controlled could this be the problem of that 1 st shift?
Hi! I believe that theres no problem with the transmission sensor so you can skip that. I suspect the MAF (mass air flow) sensor, it has big contribution on engine performance specially the idling. That may be the cause why you have hi rpm when first put in Drive. You will need to replace the MAF. Hope this helps and have a good one!
