What could be the overheating problem on a 2007 pt cruiser? Fan still works. could it be just a relay or perhaps the pcm?

you say the fan works but does it turn on when it should if so then it could be a thermostat, head gasket problem, bad engine coolant circulation. you don`t say if the tech checked the fan itself or the fan circuit which would include the PCM, rad relay, coolant temp sensor for the PCM to turn on the fan. the fan relay is in the relay box under the hood.

Is there a fuse for the electric fan on a 2008 pt cruiser

Most likely a "relay" not a fuse. Look up 08 pt fat relay on ebaymotors and see if something comes up. Then you can message the seller as to the location of the relay also.

No rad fan motor changed large relay under hood drivers side and 40 amp fuse is ok whats next

If no rad fan motor after the large relay and fuse, check the thermostat switch. It may be a bit messy but it's worthwhile connecting the fan motor straight to the battery terminals. This'll at least tell you that the fan is still operational.

2002 pt cruiser overheating was told i need a new raditor and thermostat for 1 grand sounds fishy

Flush rad & change coolant & thermostat. Check operation of rad fan, & make sure it is coming on when engine reaches normal operating temperature. Be sure to bleed air out good when refilling rad/cooling system. Start engine & turn heater on when refilling & let rad fan come on & off at least 2 or 3 times before putting cap back on rad, and refill rad as needed as you do this. then fill return bottle to proper level & see what happens.
