How many 02 sensor and how many wire each sensor

depending on the engine make
v8 and v6 have 2 oxygen sensors( O2S) , one after each cat converter with 2 wires and 2 heated oxygen sensors ( HO2S) in the exhaust manifold/ pipe before the cat converter with 4 wires each
6 cyl and 4 cyl engines have one oxygen sensor after that cat converter and one heated oxygen sensor before the cat converter

3l, 6 cyl (California emissions). Where is the 4th O2 or (A/F) sensor?

HO2S( heated sensor) are before the cat convertor either in the manifold or exhaust pipe to the cat converter
O2 sensors are in the exhaust after the cat converter/s
I am drawing the difference because they are not all O2 sensors as each has a different operation for the position in the exhaust
the missing one will be in the exhaust manifold or pipe at a convenient position for servicing before the cat converter

I have a 2007 Chevy Silverado Z71 5.3L Tonight i t was running fine and went through a drive through then went over and parked I have straight pipes still have cats, well I rev her up in the drive...

Plugged catalytic converters are very rare in newer vehicles, the old bedded cats did this that GM used but not the new ceramic grid cats unless the exhaust got cherry red from excess fuel or extreme overloading of the vehicle. The two things you need to do a re this run a fault code test then check the fuel pressure if no codes show up other than a lean code, if all is well have a exhaust back pressure test run.

95 Riviera Cat Converter problem

On all late model vehicle's if you gut the converter then your engine automaticly goes into rich running as the heated oxygen sensors cannot work as they work on the converters heat and the bad mone you get just make it worse REPLACE it and save a bundle in gas money plus do your part to help clean the airJohnny

How to remove the cataletic

In the 4-cyl engine there are two, the warm up cat converter, called the WU-TWC, and the main or monolithic cat converter, called the TWC. I assume you mean the second one, located in the exhaust pipe under the floor pan.

Details are here, from p 158
