Question about 1991 Peugeot 405

Open Question

My peugeot 106 central locking is not working. When I try to open it with the remote, or with the key in the lock, the central locking is not working. As a bi-product of this, the immobiliser is not turning off. I think because it needs to be turned off with the remote, or it is linked to the central locking. So I cannot currently start the car. When i try to unlock with the remote, the lights flash and I can hear relays clicking in the glove box, so as far as I'm aware the remote is working. Please help!

SOURCE: Frozen Boot Lock Peugeot 106

You can spray solvent into the lock...Do it several times and use the nozzle extension to really get in there. If that does not work, you will need to remove rear seat and use long extensions to unbolt lock from lid.

Problem with Central door lock on peugot 106

there is a switch attached to the back of the door lock that opens all doors, it may have fallen off or become damaged, or the mechanical connection to the lock may have snapped.

if the door itself does not even open with the key on its own, the lock mechanism has become detached from the locking rods inside the door, you would need to take off the door panel and look / feel inside near the lock, there is a thin rod connected to the actual locking part and the part the key is inserted into, as well as the internal lever to open or lock the car, it may have popped off. The key-lock itself is usually held on by a thin flat round circlip-washer affair, this may have slipped out too and the key-lock is not connected any more.
