Hello,

Thanks for using FixYa.

If you think the fuel pump is not working, try to isolate the problem by taking out the pump and try to manually give it power by tapping 12volts to it. If you hear the pump running, then the problem is probably with the fuel pump relay or fuse. Check the fuse box and make sure that the fuse is not blown out. If the fuse is OK, turn your attention to the relay, replace it, your pump should start to work. If it still doesn't work, you might have some sort of wiring problem. Get yourself a tester and make sure that the wires going to the fuel pump is good.

I hope this helps. Thanks and good day.

You need to do a fault code test to see if any problems exist that could explain this. Also exactly when does it cut off.

How to change fuel filter in 2004 Hyundai Santa Fe

Hi,

Please follow the steps to change the fuel filter. You would need to remove the left rear seat (four 14mm bolts). I think you'll need to finish cutting through the tabs on the carpet to be able to lift up the carpet. Then remove the access cover. You can then remove the fuel pump from the top of the tank.

Thank you for contacting Fixya.com
