I need to change the 'coolant temp sensor' on my 1998 V6 Chevrolet Camaro. Where is this located in the engine, can it be done yourself or better to use a garage?

Sensor is located near the thermostat housing or near the end of the upper rad hose. If you remove it yourself, you'll need an overflow pan to catch any antifreese that is lost. Have the other one ready to put in as soon as you take the old one out & you won't lose much. Don't forget to refill antifreese. Good luck!

My friend just changed out his radiator and all his hoses look fairly new. but it is still over heating. do you have any ideas. it is a 1988 chevy camaro.

check the water pump to see if its turning, With the belt off check the water pump pulley if its loose or wobbles this may indicates its rusted and the fins arent turning. also check the thermostat, it may need to be replaced too. check the fan if its not electric.
