The scaner to check the codes dont come on when conecte to it

OBD-II ports not communicating with a code scanner when caused by the CPS is because the CPS has failed. If the CPS is failed, the engine will not run.

Try another brand or model of code scanner.

My 4 wheel drive gets stuck on in 2 hi on my 2002

the first thing is to have the computer scaned for codes, this will aid in finding problem, could be a faulty switch or a weak selector motor that will only move when theres to force, (trans not moving). start with the scaning for codes, good luck.
