2001 buick regal won't allow gas in gas tank

This question needs more detail. Consider trying to fill your Buick's tank by first putting gas into one of those red plastic gasoline containers. and poring from the red container into the car. Otherwise, bring your car to a mechanic.

Gas wont go in fast at the pump. seem like it have pressure in the tank. take 30 min to fill up. It take only about 25 cent at a time and the pressure kick it off. 2004 che trailblazer

No there is NO vent tube on the fill hoses on the trailblazers!!! It is just a 1 inch hose with a one way directional valve built into the lower rubber hose assembly that is fastened to the filler neck on the tank. These tanks utilize an electric solenoid actuated vent valve that is on the back side of the tanks. When the key is off, the electric solenoid is switched back to the open position to allow the vapors of the tank to escape the tank. This is a common problem of them sticking sometimes and not opening to let the tank vapors out while you are filling it. That is why sometimes you get pressure escaping when you release the gas cap. This valve should be replaced or at least cleaned. Do NOT use compressed air to blow it out!

Can't get gas to go in tank, and it will spit out gas

Every gas tank has a vent tube, so when you fill the tank, air can escape, while the fuel is being pumped into the tank. Some vent tubes are metal, some rubber. Yours is either collapsed or plugged up. Look at the fill tube in the firebird and follow it from the gas cap to the tank, there should be a 2nd smaller tube that is your vent tube. Check to see if it's collapsed, pinched, or bent. This is definitely your problem. Check out this web site for pictures of different fill and vent tubes to get an idea of what to look for. Good luck let me know how you make out. Curt

there is a breather pipe running long the filler pipe, if u look at the furl cap there should be a small hole that lets out air as u fill up, i think that this is blocked .

Won't take gas

don't insert nozzle in fill hole so deep. It is not getting the air it needs to vent out while your fillinh the tank. Also start off slow on filling the tank, so that the air will start coming out while gas is going into your gas tank. like is said, the tank isnot venting fast enough, to let the gas come into the tank.
