There is a port on the fuel ine to check the pressure, it looks like a tire valve, it should have a plastic cap on it. Do you have a guage?

SOURCE: how do i replace pick up coil on 89 chevy suburban

i believe you will have to disassemble the distributor and shaft assy to replace. honestly may be cheaper and easier to replace whole distributor (minus module) with good rebuilt. will at least save time and frustration if that is in fact what is wrong with it

SOURCE: no fuel or spark on my 89 chevy k5 blazer

simply take any kind of extra spark plug. detach the coil wire from the distributor cap. place the spare spark plug in the end of the coil wire. touch the spark plug to a grounded metal. in the mean time get someone to turn the engine over. if you see spark. then your coil is firing if not you know what your problem is.

with all of these replacement parts done, you have one of two things I can think of.
The computer can cause this and not show up on and equipment,I seen it happen,it a chance you would have to decide to take.
the other it would have to be mechanical something with your engine itself that is not showing yet.

1988 caprice classic with 305 engine. car sputtered and then shut off. good crank and spark, no start. took off fuel line, cranked and fuel puoring out, so don't think it is fuel pump. reconnected...

Your fuel pump my still be pumping fuel But it my not be pumping with enough force to get it through the carb. I would try replacing the fuel pump.

1991 Chevrolet caprice turns over but will not start, fuse OK, relay OK, no spark, no fuel to injectors. Trying to replace coil, can't get bolts out..

your wasting your time with the coil as if no spark and no fuel this is a immobilisor problem so call tow truck and have it taken to a dealer for reprogramming and make sure you have a spare key programmed as well .

I put a 305 from a 1988 caprice in my 1991 firebird but it will not start no spark

check the pick up coil inside the distributor. You will have to disassemble the distributor to replace it or just buy a new one!
