Question about Nissan Maxima
First, you need to access the side panels from the trunk. There are two screws on each side. You will need to remove the jack holder to reach one of the screws. Then you will need to remove the rear light assemblies. Once you have pulled those off, you'll find a couple friction fittings underneath, pull those out.
Just to the sides of the light, inside the trunk, there is a nut angle upward in the corner, kind of hard to spot if you're not looking for it. Remove one from each side. Then you only have a three screws around the outside of the bumper on each side, and two more friction fittings on the bottom rear of the bumper.
Now the bumper should easily come off, just be careful to disconnect side parking lights as you remove the cover.
