Question about 2000 Oldsmobile Alero
There is no transmission dipstick. This is one of GMs sealed for life transmissions. It is a very tricky process to check the fluid level but it can be done. Unless you have a leak it will not need fluid added. But if you have a leak or suspect it is low then take it to the dealer and have them check the fluid level. In fact as this is a 10 year old car I recommend you have the fluid changed if you have not done so.
