Question about 2002 Volkswagen Passat
Usually you can find this module on the side of the tranny held inplace by a single screw and a bracket if not on the tranny very close to it if you cannot find it it may be internal which means that you will have to drop the tranny in order to replace it. if its external just take the screw out and the bracket off pry up on the module it should pop out replace the new in reverse order but a little trans fluid on the seal of the new one to aid in seating the module.
