Question about 1992 Lexus Ls 400
Engine stalls. 4 times now engine stalls, let sit for 15 min. then starts and runs fine. There is pressure in fuel tank
Sounds to me that there could be an engine temperature switch that is malfunctioning or not working at all. the temperature switch tells the engine that its cold and that the fuel injection system should operate in cold mode. the switch then tells the computer to start the engine in cold mode. if it malfunctions, the engine controlling unit confuses itself and then cuts off. this is an early sign of that unit failing until the car won't start at all. it's just wear and tear and time that does these things. a good mechanic should help you out quick and should be a couple of ours work. good luck
